Source editions, permissions, and activation status.
A listed source is not necessarily active. AlFurqan admits each source edition and component separately, and only production-authorized components may support user answers.
Tanzil Quran Text
Edition: Uthmani, Version 1.1, released February 2021.
Status: Restricted admission candidate. It is not currently production-active and does not yet support AlFurqan answers, speech, translation, tafsir, recitation, export, or offline caching.
Authorized scope under review: Exact Arabic display and citation metadata only.
Attribution and terms
Tanzil Quran Text, Copyright (C) 2007-2026 Tanzil Project. Licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0.
- The Tanzil Project must be clearly identified as the source.
- The authoritative Arabic text must be distributed verbatim and must not be changed.
- The copyright notice must remain in substantial copies and files derived from the text.
- The Tanzil link is provided so users can follow corrections and updates to the edition.

Component-level permissions
Translations, tafsir, recitation audio, hadith text, historical records, and scholarly works are separate components. Their presence alongside an Arabic Qur'an edition does not grant permission to use them. Each requires its own edition identity, provenance, permission record, review, and activation.
Corrections and withdrawal
If an admitted edition is corrected, superseded, withdrawn, or loses authorization, AlFurqan can block it independently from other sources. Source status shown here will be updated as admission decisions change.
