Information we process

• Account information: email address, account identifier, optional display name, and authentication status.
• Questions and answers: the questions you submit, limited conversation context needed for follow-ups, retrieved source passages, and generated answers.
• Optional companion data: learning preferences, saved conversations, and recurring-topic memory when you enable those Pro features.
• Voice data: microphone audio submitted for transcription and answer text submitted for generated speech. AlFurqan AI does not intentionally retain raw microphone recordings or generated audio after that request completes.
• Quran reader activity: Arabic Quran text and English translation are included in the app. Opening tafsir sends only the selected surah and ayah reference through our server or, when the server is unavailable in the native reader, directly to the named tafsir provider. Playing a human recitation requests that audio file from Islamic Network. These providers may receive standard connection information such as IP address, browser or device information, and request time. Your questions and account profile are not included in tafsir or recitation requests.
• Subscription data: product, entitlement, renewal status, and expiration information from Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive your complete payment-card information.
• Operations data: daily feature counts, service errors, device/browser information, and security events needed to operate and protect the service.

How information is used

We use information to authenticate your account, answer questions, keep follow-up context, synchronize features you enable, enforce plan limits, provide voice features, restore purchases, prevent abuse, support users, and improve reliability.

We do not sell personal information, use third-party behavioral advertising, or allow subscription status to change the religious evidence shown for the same question.

Service providers

AlFurqan AI uses infrastructure providers that process limited data on our behalf, including Supabase for authentication and account storage, OpenAI for AI drafting, transcription, and speech, Islamic Network / Al Quran Cloud for human Quran recitation audio and Arabic tafsir, Quran.com / Quran Foundation for English tafsir, Apple for App Store distribution and payments, and RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management. Their own terms and privacy practices also apply to the services they provide.

Storage, security, and retention

Network requests use encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections in production. Account records are protected by per-user database access policies, and sensitive server credentials are kept out of the app. Information may be retained while your account is active, as needed to provide a feature you selected, or as required for security, legal, tax, and dispute obligations.

Free local history may remain only on your device. Pro cloud history remains until you remove it or delete your account. Disabling companion memory stops new memory use; deleting memory removes stored companion topics associated with your account.

Your choices

You can disable history or memory, export your available account data, remove conversations, sign out, restore purchases, or permanently delete your account from the in-app account settings. Account deletion removes the account and associated application records, subject to limited records we must retain by law or for fraud prevention.

Children and international use

AlFurqan AI accounts are not directed to children under 13. A parent or legal guardian should supervise use where required. Information may be processed in countries other than your own, subject to the safeguards used by our service providers.
